This is a Sanskrit language listening or communication skill test.
Total of 65 audio based questions (not in written form) are there divided in following categories

1. Questions based on illustration.
2. Matching the pictures with spoken sentences
3. Questions after listening dialogues or conversation
4. Questions after listening to a story
5. Questions based on Subhashitas or quotations.

This “aatmaavalokhanam” or “Self-assessment” helps to identify whether the participant needs to undergo the “Speaking Skill Training” or not.

Objectives

1. Assess and enhance skills of teachers so that they are equipped to teach Sanskrit through Sanskrit (STS).
2. Enhance listening, constructional and speaking skills of routine events in Simple Standard Sanskrit.
3. Lay emphasis on phonetics and correct pronunciation
4. Understand the grammatical structures to improve writing skills.
5. Provide platform for experimenting through innovations and experiential methods and activities so that teachers are equipped to teach the language through experiential-learning pedagogy.
6. Explore and exhibit the Sanskrit Knowledge Systems to facilitate Research, inculcate cultural inheritance and values in students.

Two programs of training is offered.
  1. Listening Speaking skills (for those who need this) + Training on Activity based language Teaching
  2. Continuous Professional Development based “Activity based Teaching Sanskrit”

The structure of the training program is as follows
  1. Teachers who need speaking skills will be trained on speaking skills followed by NEP-2020 based CPD training.
  2. Teachers with Speaking Skills will be provided NEP-2020 based CPD training.
